The International Choir Festival, with its 19th edition in our City, was earlier scheduled for May 7 – 9, 2020. To begin all preparations on time, the Organizational Board held its first session today, chaired by Mayor Milenko Đaković, in the City Hall Prijedor.
Members of the Board adopted the proposal of the Artistic Council to compose the next three-member Jury in the competition part of the Festival our of respectable and internationally recognized choral singing experts: Vesna Šouc, Belgrade, Serbia as the president and members Alicja Šeluga , Poznań, Poland and Marko Vatovec, Ljubljana, Slovenia. Although there is still a lot of time till the Festival, president of the Artistic Council Mr. Aljoša Novaković expressed his satisfaction with the number of received preliminary applications forms of choirs interested in performing in Prijedor next May. These are the choirs from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Russia, Czech Republic. To remind, the deadline for choirs to apply is November 30th, 2019, i.e. till the end of this year.
At the session was also talked about ways of organizing the Children’s Review “Mala vila“ whose holding has been designed as an introduction into the big Festival “Zlatna vila“ over the last three years. The next session of the Organizational Board will be set in accordance with dynamic of organizational structure of the Festival.
