Representative of Prijedor attended a meeting of European Choral Association for South East Europe in Péc, Hungary

Topics discussed at the meeting from 18 to 20 June this year were about problems of choral singing and ways of solving and improvement of cooperation between choirs, conductors and music pedagogues in this part of Europe.  The representative of our Festival “Zlatna vila“, Chief of the Department of Social Affairs  of the City Administration Monja Kasalović held a presentation about history of choral singing in Prijedor and current situation in this field in Republic of Srpska and Bosnia and Herzegovina.  This gathering of relevant choral actors was a great opportunity to announce the 19th International Choir Festival “Zlatna vila“ which will be held in May 7 – 9, 2020 in Prijedor. Besides the representative of the City of Prijedor, as the only representative from Republic of Srpska and Bosnia and Herzegovina, there were members of choral associations from Russia, Poland, Ukraine, Macedonia, Croatia, Germany, Hungary, Georgia and Slovenia. Also, at the meeting was talked about projects, choral events, scholarships and everything that can contribute to the development of this kind of collective music.
