Festival and City representative took part at extraordinary General Assembly of International Federation for Choral Music in Lisbon

At a meeting of extraordinary General Assembly of the IFCM, which was held on July 29th, 2019 in the capital of Portugal, Monja Kasalović, a representative of the City of Prijedor and International Choir Festival “Zlatna vila“ took part. After becoming a member of this world choral association in June this year, this was the first and active participation of representative of our Festival who voted for the new Statute of this Association and change of other legal documents regulating the Federation. Amongst 33 present members of the IFCM at this meeting, the representative of our Festival was the only one from Republic of Srpska, i.e. Bosnia and Herzegovina. One more event whose participant was also our representative is the World Choral Expo, from 27 July to 1 August also in Lisbon, at which participated eminent choirs, conductors, composers and music educators from all over the world. This year’s Expo had a theme “Voices Meeting for a Better World“ aimed at encouraging global friendship and world peace. Interesting and numerous events at this year’s Expo were used to promote our, 19th in roll, Choir Festival “Zlatna vila“ and establish a future cooperation with choral actors. Mrs. Kasalović expressed her thankfulness to President of the IFCM Emily Kuo Vong and Vice President Gábor Móczár  for the support and cooperation to improve the choral singing in our city.
